The free, one-day event is the largest of its kind in Palm Beach County. The second annual Countdown 2 Zero will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, inside the Palm Beach County Convention Center at 650 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach, FL. Countdown 2 Zero is a collaborative effort between local animal rescues in an effort to save lives. Initiated by Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, the Board of County Commissioners and Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, the event brings animal welfare organizations together to reduce the number of animals needing temporary shelter, thus ending the euthanasia of adoptable animals in Palm Beach County.
